Seattle adventures, then on to Mt. Vernon (gateway to Cascades)

Bert was ready. Took a cab (with all my stuff) back to BMW dealer. They were just finishing up Bert so I started talking to my new hero - guy from Ft. Lauderdale who was on his way back home after riding to Alaska! What a stud. Like the guy riding from Colorado, he had the dirt / sport version of my bike. Also had a gopro camera on his helmet. He showed me some Picts and movies which were unbelievable. I thought about getting one before I left, but never did. May have to rethink that decision.

As I was departing, a wrecker pulled up with a BMW. The forks were bent inward in a C shape. Scary.

After I picked up Bert, I rode to the Apple store to pick up yet another mini. Got lost, but found the store eventually after driving around the University of Washington campus. What do UW and University of Tennessee have in common? They are part of a handful of universities where you can drive your boat to a football game. Top that Big House.

Made a surprise visit to Carrie and spent an hour or so with her and Brunner. Then back on the road, fighting I5 traffic again. New tires rock!!! Thank god for HOV lanes.

Stopped in Mt. Vernon for the night to rest up for the ride through the Cascades. Met some people who we're doing the same ride and they gave me some tips on places to go. Interesting cloud formation:

For some reason, this reminded me of Donald Trump.

Tomorrow the Cascades and other adventures. Teaser pict:
